How to make Indian Rasmalai?? Ras Malai is a popular Indian dessert made with cheese balls that are soaked in sweetened milk. Here's a recipe for making ras malai: Ingredients: For the rasgulla (cheese balls): 1 liter full-fat milk 2 tablespoons lemon juice or vinegar 3 cups water 1 cup sugar For the ras (sweetened milk): 1 liter full-fat milk 1 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder A few strands of saffron Chopped nuts for garnishing (optional) Instructions: To make the rasgulla, bring the milk to a boil in a heavy-bottomed pot. Once the milk boils, add the lemon juice or vinegar and stir gently until the milk curdles. Turn off the heat and let it sit for a minute. Then, pour the mixture through a muslin cloth or cheesecloth to strain out the whey. Rinse the cheese with cold water to remove any lemon or vinegar taste.
